We know the name, we know the process, and Consecration Sunday continues to be very important in the life of the congregation. It is our annual opportunity to reflect on the generous gifts God has granted to us and to plan how we can best use them in the ministries of the congregation and in our daily lives.
Special dining events occurred after each of the services - breakfast after the early service, attended by 69 members, and lunch after the late service, with 97 participants. There was plenty to eat, and no one left hungry.
The Rev. Gordon Smith preached at both services. He is Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg and is well-acquainted with the Consecration Sunday process. He then joined us for dinner in Fellowship Hall.
