On Sunday February 3rd, St. Mark’s gave out the “All the Languages of the Good News” milestone to those children in kindergarten here at St. Mark’s. Gillian Buckman, Madalyn Fortin, Hannah Haussmann, Sean Jensen, Dylan Ott and Brandon Pelleschi were the recipients of this milestone.
At the conclusion of the service, the six kindergarteners marched proudly through the nave to help Pastor Elkin greet the departing congregation at the door.
The children and their families enjoyed a lunch in Fellowship Hall after Sunday services. Afterwards, Pastor Elkin helped the children discover the contents of their Milestone bags: an icon of Jesus as The Good Shepherd, a CD of Christian music and several books.
This milestone is a reminder that the St. Mark’s congregation is a huge part of the Passing the Faith ministry. The bags may be used as a tool for nurturing faith in the home.
