UNITED CAMPUS MINISTRY
On Wednesday evening, January 24, St. Mark’s hosted dinner
and devotions for the United Campus Ministry of Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Sharon Comini arranged this through Heather Wagner, the
coordinator of the group. Sharon, Becky Miller Pryor and Bernadette
Jones took
over chili, baked potatoes and toppings, and cakes to share
with about twenty college students.
Before we ate, Sharon led devotions and discussion about “Does God want us to be rich?”.
Conversation was thought provoking
with the group which
had a wide range of backgrounds:
geographically, socially,
racially, and in their
faith.
It was also a kind of farewell party for one of their members
who is moving out of the area. It was heartwarming to see
how close these kids are. Pastor Huckfeldt, a regular with
the group, and Pastor Elkin also participated in the evening.
We look forward to serving them again in the spring.
