Fiesta! Vacation Bible School 2006
Right click play to see us St. Mark's started the summer with a Fiesta - Fiesta themed Vacation Bible School that is. For five evenings, kids and adults gathered for dinner, and then a night of fun and learning. VBS was a chance for children to have a fun-filled week aimed at celebrating God's love. The lessons of Jesus Christ were passed on using scripture plays, music and crafts. Of course, fellowship, games, events and snacks are an enjoyable part of VBS. Every day, a different theme conveyed the teachings of Jesus: Jesus is our friend; Jesus is our life; Jesus is our leader; Jesus is our savior; and, Jesus is our helper. At the end of the week, the kids took home bags of crafts and Piņata treats, tummies full of ice cream from the session-ending ice cream social, and a new perspective on their life and obligations as Christians.
