The ladies of St. Mark’s had a shower for Kit Chen (our own dear St. Mark’s Kitchen) on Sunday afternoon, August 20, 2006 in Fellowship Hall. Over the years, things had worn out or gone missing or, with a greater variety of events, the Church developed a need for something we didn’t already have.
A good time was had by all who attended the long awaited Shower. About twenty folks attended. We ate a lot of good food, played Gift Bingo, unwrapped gifts, and at times got quite silly. One of the most memorable moments was during the playing of “This is a Fork (or Spoon),” when one guest was heard to say, “Alright, here’s four forks and two spoons!”
Kit received many wonderful gifts. Many thanks to those who donated.
