Rosini, church council president, will make presentations to Pastor Vasey whose family is planning to be in attendance.

Vasey has been pastor at St. Mark’s since November, 2019. Prior to that, he served as pastor at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinville. He was ordained in 1986 and previously served United Methodist congregations in Catawissa, Nescopeck, Clearfield, York, Lewisburg, and Bellefonte.

The Geneseo, NY, native graduated from Lycoming College, where as a student, he worshiped at St. Mark’s when The Reverend Frederick G. H. Hasskarl was pastor. Vasey earned his Master of Divinity degree from Drew Theological School at Drew University, Madison, NJ.

Pastor Vasey is married to the former Joanne D. Masser who serves as Organist and Music Coordinator at Christ Lutheran Church, Lewisburg. They have two adult children – Brandy Aguirre (wife of Stephen) and Timothy Vasey. He and his wife became grandparents this past year.

St. Mark’s was founded in 1852 as the first English-speaking Lutheran church in Williamsport, and is located at the foot of the Market Street bridge. Throughout the summer, the Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Sundays at 9:30 A.M.
