Hannah Haussmann Commissioned
to Serve as Missionary

On June 21, St. Mark's commissioned member Hannah Haussman to serve as a missionary with Young Adults in Global Mission.
Young Adults in Global Mission is an ELCA ministry that invites young adults ages 21-35 into a year of international service. Hannah will "walk" alongside global companions in ministries of justice, education, health and community development. Rooted in the Lutheran value of accompaniment, YAGM emphasizes mutuality, listening and transformation through relationships and countering the harms of colonial Christianity. Volunteers are shaped by the witness of their neighbors and return with a deeper understanding of God's work in the world and their own faith.
Hannah has been assigned to Cambodia. Her work at present is still unknown as that will be determined when she learns where she will be located.
We commissioned Hannah to reassure her that God will be with her as she responds to the Gospel and the call of Christ.
