Last April Bishop Collins joined both of our church services and gave an energizing account of the importance Camp Mount Luther plays in the spiritual growth of not only our children, but of families and community members as well. After 60 years of use, however, there is a definite need to modernize its facilities.
In an effort to do this, the Upper Susquehanna Synod is conducting a Capital Campaign to help raise the needed $1.6 to $2 million to be used to renovate Maple Hall and build a new bathhouse. St. Mark’s Church Council felt strongly that supporting Camp Mount Luther and the “Foundations for the Future” campaign was worthwhile, and a campaign target goal of contributing $7500.00 over the next three years was set.
St. Mark's came through! Indeed, more that double the goal was pledged by members of the congregation in September 2024.
The Synod (and the campers) thanks our members for their support!
