The annual meeting of the St. Mark's congregation took place after services on December 10, 2023. Council President Ralph Ziegler presided.
After a quorum was declared, the first order of business was to elect new council members. The nominating committee recommended Wanda Fortin, Ray Huff. Richard Miller and Richard Reitz be elected to seats on council. They were elected without dissent.
A budget for the congregation was recommended by the finance committee and approved for submission by council. The 2024 budget was also approved by a unanimous vote.
The congregation also approved a substantial repair to the organ, expected to cost $43,600. Certain notes are "dead" due to some damaged relays and also te organ's leather parts are wearing out. These repairs are due to "wear and tear" expected with an instrument of the age of our organ.
Finally, the congregation authorized the council to select two representatives to the annual Synod assembly in the spring.
The booklet of reports was distributed at the service. you can read it here.
