St. Mark's New Pastor
Brian David Vasey
Pastor Brian David Vasey of Lewisburg has accepted the call of St.
Mark's congregation to serve as our new pastor. The call came after a
congregational meeting held on September 15, 2019. The Pastor accepted
after the votes were counted.
Pastor Vasey will begin his work at St. Mark's at the beginning of
November. Everyone is looking forward to turning a new page of the
history of St. Mark's by welcoming the Pastor to his new position. His
first Sunday in St. Mark's will be November 3.
After an extended call process, the Call Committee was very pleased to
recommend Pastor Vasey to the congregation. He has served the Christian
Church since 1986, and most recently was serving at St. John's
Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mifflinville. He resides in Lewisburg
with his wife, Joanne. Their children are Brandy Aguirre and Timothy
Vasey.
The congregation had an opportunity to meet and greet Pastor Vasey and
his family on September 14, in fellowship hall. The Pastor then
preached the next day, prior to the congregational meeting. The vote was
conducted by a representative of Bishop Collins.
Pastor Vasey provided a complete biography at the meet and greet event.
