Youth Service
May 8, 2016
Sunday, May 8, was a special day for the youth of the congregation. Our young people filled all the
service assistant roles at the 10:30 worship service, except those of pastor and organist!.
Yes - from assisting minister to usher. From choir to communion server - all performed by someone 16 years or younger.
Assisting Pastor Elkin as assisting minister was Ben Haussmann. His performance was flawless.
Hannah Haussmann and Taylor Wentzel read the Bible lessons and Sadie Wentzel sang as cantor for the recitation of the Psalm.
Acolytes were Dylan and Aston Ott. Stefan Weber and Owen and Levi Gair were ushers. Anna and Laura Ziegler served communion.
Hannah Haussmann and Taylor Wentzel performed a horn solo during communion. Hannah, Taylor, Sadie, and Anna and Laura Ziegler, Elizabeth Haussman and Gabriella Gregory sang in the choir, including a solo as the offering was collected.
Elizabeth Haussman and Gabriella Gregory were greeters before the service started.
Afterwards, a special hospitality was held in Fellowship Hall.
Well done guys! And good training for the future.
