15th Annual Catechetical Retreat

Catechetical Retreat 2013 was held on Saturday, January 5, 2013, here at St. Mark’s. Forty young people along with their parents or grandparents attended along with six instructors and organizers.

This was the first time that all who signed up to come actually attended!!

The halls of St. Mark’s were filled with excited conversations and questions as participants passed each other having left classes on icons (where they made their own), discussions on the “fairness” of life, teen finances, and hiding from the Lord (or not).

Sadly, the session on mission work in Saskatchewan was cancelled because of a death in Pr. Shellhamer’s family.

Prs. Elkin and Huckfeldt, along with Carol Waltz and Keith Wood, had a great time with those attending. Many thanks to all who helped with setting up and donations of food!
