A HUGE “THANK YOU” goes out to Jackie, Chele, Donna, Janet, Sara, Diana, Shirley, Laura, and the ladies from Corning (Ninette, Nancy, Sara, and Irene) for their able assistance at 8:00 AM on that Saturday with the cookie baking.
Flour was flung with great dexterity as hundreds and hundreds of cookies leapt out of the ovens!!! It was great! We produced almost 2000 cookies for the carolers to deliver that Sunday and to share among ourselves. A wonderful assortment of goodies was assembled during this day: pizelles; chocolate chip, double chocolate, sugar, ricotta, raisin, molasses and oatmeal cookies; and more!
AS ALWAYS KUDOS GO TO LOU AND KIRK FOR CLEANING UP AFTER BOTH OF THE EVENTS LISTED ABOVE; WE COULDN’T DO IT WITHOUT THEM!
The next day, three groups totaling almost 20 carolers visited as many of our homebound as they could on the afternoon of December 9. Any we missed on that day were visited later by Pr. Elkin.
It’s wonderful to visit those members of our church family whom we don’t see on a regular basis. We are always made to feel so welcome.
