The Sunday School year got started with a bang on September 2, 2012. A wonderful spread was set before about 60 members between the two services.
Everyone ate their fill at several stations in Fellowship Hall. The Kinney girls were serving up eggs, hash-browns, bacon and pancakes. Bob Jones was making, to order, omelets of a rather large size. Pastries and fruit. Juice and coffee. Plenty for all.
Very well done!
After breakfast, Bernadette Jones and others presented an overview of the Heifer International program. The youth, through fund-raising and collections in Children's Church and Vacation Bible School collections, have raised funds for the charity. Heifer International uses donated funds to provide livestock to needy communities all over the world. The program includes training, so that the animals are put to their best use.
