Catechetical Studies Underway

A new catechetical class met for the first time in mid September to begin the process leading to confirmation in 2 years. The new class of Grace Schreckengast, Annika Waffenschmidt, Taylor & Sadie Wentzel and Makensi Doebler, will join the second year class of Stefan Weber, Evan Barone, Ben Haussmann, and Dawson Owen in their studies.

The students will meet every Sunday, and one time a month with their mentors for more in depth discussions.  A member of the church has agreed to work with the student, to assist with their studies and serve as a mentor.

The new students will be introduced to the congregation during a ceremony at the late service on September 23, 2012. 

During the time of their studies, they will be required to attend services regularly and prepare sermon reports.  Also, they will participate in the services as acolytes and help out with events as they generally become familiar with the life of the church. Various  activities including an annual trip and summer "confirmation camp" add a bit of fun to the process.
