On Sunday, January 31, 2010, St. Mark’s gave out the “All the Languages of the Good News” milestone to those children in kindergarten. Seven children, Amalie Robertson, Ryan Clokey, Elizabeth Haussmann, Dierah Williams, Owen and Grace Elliott, and Ashton Ott, received this milestone.
At the conclusion of the service, the five kindergarteners helped Pastor Elkin greet the departing congregation at the door.
The children and their families enjoyed a lunch in Fellowship Hall after Sunday services. Afterwards, Pastor Elkin helped the children discover the contents of their Milestone bags: an icon of Jesus as The Good Shepherd, a CD of Christian music and several books.
This milestone is a reminder that the St. Mark’s congregation is a huge part of the Passing the Faith ministry. The bags may be used as a tool for nurturing faith in the home.
