Fall means fun at St. Mark's! Kids and adults gathered on a Sunday in October to celebrate the season - to eat and to play.
The evening began with toasted cheese sandwiches and tomato soup, cookies and snacks. A perfect meal for a cool fall night. Then the festivities began.
Kids and water go hand-in-hand (except at bath time) so there was no surprise when apple dunking was the most popular event. Seemed as though the teeth could only sink into that apple was if the head was fully immersed in the tub. Hmm! Some of the guys walked away with 3 apples, and very wet heads.
Digging in the leaves for candy and other treats was also pretty popular. An endless stream of goodies seemed to appear from the depths of the leaf pile, almost as if by magic.
The evening concluded with an exciting trivia game. Divided into teams of 3, the competition was intense as each team was faced with questions with categories like "Bible Basics", "Lutheran Lore" and "Congregational Conundrums." The teams were fairly tested on their knowledge of St. Mark's history as well as Biblical stories. Some of the questions were very tough!
Lots of fun, food and fellowship - enjoyed by all on this fall afternoon.
