Visiting Shut-ins with Christmas Cheer
Thank you to our cookie bakers, Michele Fredericks, Donna, and Sara, and later, Michele's mother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law and two nieces to help!!! We produced lots of cookies to share and for the carolers to deliver that Sunday. Jackie was unable to attend, but brought in her chocolate chip cookies for the plates!! Thank you all!!!
A wonderful assortment of goodies was assembled during this afternoon: pizelles, ricotta cookies, twisted canes and wreaths, chocolate chip, chocolate ribbons, and oatmeal cookies; along with the mystery cookies and decorated sugar cookies made by the children and still more cookies baked by Shirley K. and Jackie…
The weather was a little slippery this year! But Christmas carolers still went out in two groups, totaling eight adults, two teens and four children, who visited as many of our homebound as they could on the afternoon of December 13th. Everyone heard some fine singing and received a plate of cookies to boot.
