1.26.2009 - We Went Bowling!
We did it! We entered a float in this year’s parade on Thursday, August 20. A trailer and towing truck were graciously loaned to us by Michele Fredericks and her fiancé.
On Sunday, August 16, we painted signs and things for the float. On Thursday, the 20th, we attached everything to the float and off we went to the staging area around 6:00 to get in line. An hour and a half later, we finally stepped off to begin the parade! It was a weary but happy crew that finally pulled into our parking lot at 9:00 pm to dismantle the float.
A HUGE thank you goes out…
to Michele and Jake for the loan of the truck and trailer and for driving in the parade,
to Bonnie, Steve and Jarrett Eyer; Michele, Devin, Dawson and Kirk Owen; Lois Smith; Sara and Bernadette Jones; Deb Buckman and Michele Fredericks for painting,
to Jarrett, Devin, Lynna and Rick Robertson for riding on the float,
to Pastor Elkin, Michele O. and Bernadette for walking the route, and
to Lou DeSeau, Declan Jones and many of the above who stayed to take things apart.
