A ready group of volunteers gathered on Saturday morning, April 4, for the making of the crosses for Palm Sunday.
Eileen George, Emily Bellows-Shaffer, Jackie Kinney, Shirley Kinney, Beth Shafranko, Kathy & Greg Dancho, Donna Elkin, Lou DeSeau, Pastor Elkin and Lois Smith spent several hours soaking, splitting and intricately entwining the palms. Some proved more adept than others at certain tasks and an assembly line was developed. The group provided 306 palm crosses for the congregation and friends.
