Makensi Doebler, Ben Haussmann, Dawson Owen, Kameera Smith and Stefan Weber began instruction for this very important milestone on Sunday, November 2. The children continued their instruction on November 9 and 16. They received the sacrament on Sunday of Christ the King, November 23.
Holy Communion is central to our Lutheran Faith. At the discretion of their parents, third graders at St. Mark's are invited to prepare for First Communion. The students and their parents participate in several classes focusing on a Biblically-based introduction to our Lutheran understanding of the Lord's Supper.
Makensi, Ben, Dawson, Kameera and Stefan successfully completed their instruction and will now sit at the Lord's table, fully prepared to receive God's meal.
