Operation Christmas ChildOperation Christmas ChildOperation Christmas Child

On Sunday, November 9, after the 10:30 service, we shared a light lunch and then packed and wrapped Operation Christmas Child boxes. We made the packing of these boxes an intergenerational event AND took advantage of sales as they occurred!!

Operation Christmas ChildThe way it worked - participants scouted around for good deals on items of interest to children like coloring books, fun erasers or pencils, washcloths and the like. They picked up a dozen or two of one item! The donations and empty shoeboxes were left at the church over several weeks, until the time came to put it all together. On November 9, the group assembled it all in a big pack-and-wrap session!!!

Children’s Church was the same Sunday. The special offering that day was items for the boxes.

Everyone had fun with this project, that will provide a bit of cheer for underprivileged children.
