Primary Student Bible Milestone
On Sunday, November 30, 2008, a very special Milestone was celebrated by third graders at St. Mark's. This is the day that the Good News Bible Milestone was commemorated, at the 10:30 service. Seven third graders received a Bible which had been inscribed by their families. Parents, grandparents and others highlighted favorite passages and included messages and prayers for their children.
The Milestone bibles were
accepted by Makensi Doebler, daughter of Barbara & the late Wilson
Doebler; Caden Fisher, son of Charles and Melissa Fisher; Benjamin
Haussmann, son of Drew and Vicki Haussmann; Dawson Owen, son of Kirk and
Michele Owen; Cody Shimp, son of Tory and Christie Shimp; Kameera Smith,
daughter of Amanda Weaver & Kareem Smith; and, Stefan Weber, son of Gary
and Shelby Weber.
The children and families enjoyed lunch after the service. Pastor Elkin then spent some time exploring the Bibles with the third graders and reading the messages relatives and friends had written.
