On Sunday, November 9, 2008, the Lycoming College Choir participated in the 10:30 worship service at St. Mark's. It is always a special occasion at St. Mark's when the Choir, directed by St. Mark's member Dr. Fred Thayer, fills the nave with its glorious voices.
In its first set, the Choir sang several well known, sacred pieces: Blest By Everything by David Brunner; Sicut Locutus est (from Mary's Song, the Magnificat) by Johann Sebastian Bach; There Will Be Rest by Frank Ticheli and Dixit Dominus (Psalm 110) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
During the Communion Meal, the Choir offered some modern selections: All Creatures of Our God and King by Crystal Reid; The Spheres at Play by Dr. Fred Thayer; Sure on This Shining Night by Morten Lauridsen; and, I Can Tell the World by Moses Hogan .
St. Mark's own Dick Lakey accompanied the Choir.
