On August 10, 2008, Brett & Lauren Campbell, children of Gregg & Kathy Dancho passed the milestone we call Blessing of the Young Driver and Car Keys. At the 10:30 service, a keychain that bears Luther's seal was given to Brett & Lauren as a reminder that the gifts God continues to grant us day after day in every place we travel must be exercised with responsibility to God and all of the people around us. They received the blessing of the congregation.
Brett and Lauren brought with them objects that they valued when younger, but which now will be passed to others. Brett surrendered a a magnifying glass, that he enjoyed as a child, but no longer uses. Lauren gave up a teddy bear, that no longer comforts her. For them it is a sign of time gone by, of a time that will not come again.
Please pray for their safe and successful undertaking of this new responsibility.
